Well, all good things must come to an end, and it is with deep regret that effective July 31st, 2008, we have ceased operations as a recording studio.

The reasons are many, and include conditions such as the economy, and lack of sales and support to continue operations. We have done everything possible to provide a service to the scholastic music community by providing a free service to the music departments (along with complementary copies of their recordings), and only asked for minimal support for this effort.

However, while we would love to provide this service for free to the students and parents, the economics were just not working out, and in some recent cases, concerts were recorded with little or no sales made.

So what's in the future for Eclectic Sky? I'm not sure at this time, and probably won't make any decision until early next year. I will retain this website, but it most likely won't be recording related. Our name is universal enough to be applied to just about any endeavor.

So in closing, it's been a pleasure working will all the music directors, and especially you the students and parents of these gifted kids.

To quote the famous jazz saxophonist, Charlie Parker, ...

"Music is your own experience, your own thoughts, your wisdom. If you don't live it, it won't come out of your horn. They teach you there's a boundary line to music. But, man, there's no boundary line to art."
